An accredited wholesale nursery, established in 1980, Tree Growers Advanced Pty Ltd (TGA) has emerged as a leader in its class, awarded as the Best medium Production Nursery in Australia 2006 & 2008, and in Victoria '05, '06, '07 and '08

TGA carries one of the largest range and quantity of 33cm container grown stock in Australia. This stock is complimented by a range of 40cm and 50cm containers. TGA stock is distributed throughout Melbourne, Country Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales, A.C.T. and now Tasmania.

TGA is a purpose built advanced tree and shrub nursery with excellent growing areas that include a leading drainage system, recycling water treatment and storage. These areas also have superb windbreak and trellis facilities. High quality stock is provided by effective quality control methods and production processes.

ACCREDITATION

Since the beginning of the Nursery Accreditation Scheme in 1990, TGA Australia has been accredited, meeting or exceeding the requirements stipulated by the scheme. T.G.A. is also accredited to supply product into Tasmania and South Australia.

MARKETING

TGA Australia supplies stock to a diverse range of retail and landscape clients throughout Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and the ACT. Please refer to the 'Stock Outlets' Page for your nearest supplier.

PUBLIC

Stock is available to the public from many retail nurseries in metropolitan Melbourne, country Victoria and interstate. TGA stock is also available from Bunnings Warehouse stores. Public may also access T.G.A. product through their Designer, Landscaper or Gardener.

TRADE ONLY

The company markets its product direct to the trade from the nursery in Somerville and from our trade outlets around Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney.

TGA provides retailers and landscapers with the opportunity to view the quality of stock on a 'Spec' truck. Please call TGA if you would like to be included on the next visit. This includes interstate customers.

TGA Australia is also represented at the NGIV trade day market at Caribbean Gardens, Ferntree Gully Road, Scoresby, Victoria, on the 1st Tuesday of every month.

MANAGEMENT

TGA Australia is owned and managed by Peter Wilkins. Jon Noonan as General Manager oversees Sales and Production and the day to day running of the Nursery. The Sales and Despatch team of Kate West and Ashley Davis is led by Steve Twigg. The Production team is led by David Clarke.

We consider all our staff to be highly motivated and multi skilled, each with their own special capabilities, creating a quality management team. Nursery hygiene, health and safety, customer support and customer satisfaction merge with the demands of production, marketing and delivery as an important part of daily operations.

PRODUCTION

TGA Australia sources all of its potting stock from accredited growers.

The nursery maintains the highest standards of hygiene and nursery practice consistent with the requirements of the Nursery Accreditation Scheme. Special attention is given to the production of a sound root system.

All container stock, 33cm and larger, is irrigated by dripper irrigation, supplied by recycled water. The state of the art recycling system accounts for 100% of all water used in the growing of the plants. The dripper irrigation system allows for accurate control of irrigation schedules and results in a superior plant.

All potted stock is grown in our customized blends of potting media supplied by NIASA accredited growing media supplier Debco Pty Ltd, (www.debco.com.au) at Tyabb Victoria and Van Schaik's Bio Gro Pty Ltd (www.biogro.com.au) at Bayswater North, Victoria.

The potting mix has slow release fertilizer incorporated throughout the mix resulting in an extended shelf life for the retailer and the plants have strong establishment performance when planted out for the end user.
